Partington Boys Road Trip – Day 4
Adventure Day
I took the lads for a wild walk to the bottom of Mt Shank Volcano. They were disappointed there was no lava but I sold it to them that we can make a word (Hi!) with some limestone rocks at the bottom and view it from the rim. ( a bit lame, but needed a distraction to avoid the whinging)
A kangaroo jumped out of nowhere along the track (freaking us out), and we saw a snake on the road nearby. Checked out Little Blue Lake where teenagers were jumping from cliffs.
Am certainly feeling every bit of my 46 years and needed a nap before we went swimming. The lads both ganged up on me in pool and proceeded to pelt balls etc at me, eventually injuring my shoulder.
We finished off ‘man style’ by eating 3 pizzas on the motel room floor! Excellent hospitality, and the owners of the run down motel were shocked we stayed 3 nights, even saying ” You sure you wanna stay another night???” ( as though people normally only last one night).
